Date : Monday 29 April – 2 May 2024
Time: 9:00am to 4pm
Venue: AH Hotel, Accra Ghana
The Writing workshop is an integral part of activities under the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) funded “Equitable Access to the COVID-19 Vaccines in Africa” (ECOVA) project collaboratively executed by the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA), the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
As part of this project, multi-country studies with country-level consultants from 10 African countries (Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal and Zimbabwe) representative of the five (5) sub-regions of Africa have been commissioned to generate evidence in support of Africa’s vaccination agenda.
Key areas of focus for evidence generation include identifying barriers to access, addressing hesitancy and enhancing uptake of vaccines. The objective of the workshop was to equip participants with the necessary skills in policy brief writing and insights into gender dimensions towards the integration of gender perspectives into the ECOVA project activities.
